How You Can Help Build an Independent Alberta

Change of this magnitude requires every one of us. Here is how Alberta seniors can make a meaningful difference:

1. Educate Yourself and Others. Read, share, and discuss the facts about Alberta’s fiscal relationship with Ottawa. Many Canadians — including many Albertans — have never seen the numbers. When you share this information with family, friends, and your community, you create change.

2. Talk to Your Grandchildren. More than two in five Albertans aged 18–34 (42%) now support independence. Young Albertans are already asking hard questions about their future in Canada. Your experience and perspective matter to them — be part of that conversation.

The uncertainty of Alberta independence is less frightening to me than the certainty of the failure of Canada.  And that’s the way I feel and many people out here in the independence movement feel.

3. Attend a Rally or Town Hall. Check our Where & When page for upcoming events near you. Showing up matters. A room full of seniors sends a powerful message.

4. Write to Your MLA and MP Elected representatives pay attention to constituent mail, especially from older, reliable voters. A personal, handwritten letter carries more weight than you might think.

5. Donate or Volunteer. This movement runs on the time and resources of ordinary Albertans. If you can give an hour a week or a few dollars a month, you are making independence more possible. Donate to other groups with TPA status, as shown at the bottom of our WHO page. 😉

6. Share This Website. Word of mouth is still the most powerful tool in any movement. Send this link to every Albertan you know who is ready to ask: What if Alberta stood on its own?

7. Put a flag or a sign supporting Alberta Independence on your front lawn, on your car, on your balcony, etc.!
